    Great layout!

Posted by Shelby on Nov 6th 2018

I love the layout of this planner, and the goal-planning system that Heather suggests (listen to podcast episode 15!). I love the size - it's small enough to fit in my (oversized) purse or briefcase, but not SO big that it feels like an anchor. The paper feels lovely and takes to ballpoint pens well. I love the hourly layout at the top, and the selling point for me was the time tracking feature on the bottom half of the page. My only VERY TINY wish is that it had a 2019 full-year calendar on one page (like the 2020 calendar on the very last page of the planner). Overall I can't wait to start using it - I've already started using the freebies that came with my order and so far I really like them!

    Doesn't work for me

Posted by Heidi on Oct 30th 2018

The daily calendar portion of this planner is simply not functional for me... Space allotted to calendaring is simply too limited. I also prefer to see the whole week on 2 pages, rather than 5 pages. Makes it easier to see whether or not a potential court proceeding will work in a given week. I understand that this planner focuses on tasks and projects, although even that space is minimal. All-in-all, I am disappointed in this planner, and am unable to return it for a refund.

    Perfect Project Planner

Posted by April Jackson on Oct 15th 2018

This planner is perfect for helping me stay on track with my big-picture goals throughout the year and not getting distracted by the day-to-day (although there's room for that too). Heather's planning system is exactly what busy lawyers need. It doesn't hurt that it's also beautiful!

    Life & Law Planner

Posted by Michelle Wade on Oct 13th 2018

Kept watching the door for the delivery on the day it was scheduled to arrive! I had pre-ordered & am really happy I did. I love that it is sturdy & it can handle whatever it may take from me during a year's
worth of use. The hard covers extend to cover the tabs which is useful for those of us whose planners have a hard life! I like that if arrives in Q4 so that I can use in the Q4 planning for the next year. The layout is great for planning and there is a system that helps you plan and accomplish your priority goals. Recommend this & am looking forward to a year's worth of use.

    Great Planner

Posted by Bonnie on Oct 12th 2018

I LOVE planners. I'm currently using a Franklin-Covey planner for 2018 but am excited to use the L&L planner for 2019. L&L has similar features to FC which I think will make the transition easy - daily planning, daily task lists, weekly big picture, etc. It's a lot bigger than my FC pocket but I typically just leave my planner open on my desk so that's not a big deal. Similar to the Day Designer in size/binding - which is awesome because the Day Designer has great quality - but its daily layout never seemed to fit my needs as a professional vs. a creative which I think the Day Designer caters to. If you want the organization of FC and the sheer beauty of a Day Designer - definitely give L&L planner a shot. You won't be disappointed!

    Beautiful!!!

I love planners!! Like, really LOVE planners, and this planner is by far the most beautiful planner I have ever seen. I love the layout and the sturdy construction of it. I feel like it will last the entire year (unlike some planners I have purchased before). I’m so excited for 2019 so that I can start using this planner and start focusing on my goals!!

The planner I didn't know I needed but MAJORLY BOOSTED my productivity

Posted by Autumn on Oct 11th 2018

I was not a paper planner person before getting this planner - I use an online calendar and project management tools. After attending Heather's planning workshop, I started using this planner to actually plan my days. Now, each morning, rather than staring at an endless to do list with no idea where to start, I have a prioritized short list of what I must get done that day. I also love being able to write recurring tasks or payments on pages in the future so I don't forget them (I was tracking these in my online calendar but they really need to be on my to do list, they're not appointments).

Tracking the time I *think* it will take me to do tasks vs. how much time it actually takes has been a game changer, allowing me to much better estimate how long things will take and plan my days in a realistic way. I no longer feel like I got nothing done at the end of the day.

My favorite part of the planner, though, is the weekly pages, which allow me to track the "big picture" projects I'm working on to move my law practice forward; these are the things that are easy to ignore when client demands are front and center. I have accomplished more than I dreamed this year, and I owe much of that to the simple systems Heather taught me that I've implemented through this planner.

    Every lawyer needs this planner!

    Excellent law planner

Posted by Adele K. on Oct 11th 2018

I just received this planner but it seems like it will be perfect for me. I struggle with day planners that allow you to write appointments, meetings, or to just schedule your day, but they don't provide an ongoing task list with both anticipated time and actual time spent, and space to organize by project or case (for litigators). This has all of them! Before this planner I was using a day planner and also a running task list on my computer desktop that I just kept open (and my calendar on my phone for personal appointments). The only drawback to this planner for me is that it is a little large to carry at all times (I am sort of a planner nerd and keep mine in my purse/bag). It would be great to be able to, in future years, pick an annual format or maybe a quarterly or 6 month version for those who prefer a smaller/lighter style. But the planner is beautiful and a great layout.
